Une belle collaboration avec le Trail de Kreiz Breizh

A great collaboration with the Kreiz Breizh Trail

Since last December, we have had the opportunity to collaborate with the Trail de Cresse Breizh association to create personalized medals for their various races.

As part of this project, we have concluded a contract for the manufacture of more than 1100 medals, divided between four events: the 100 km, the 66 km, the 42 km as well as the YAOUANK 10 km children's race.

From idea to final design

The first step in this project was to work on the medal design. Several visuals were conceived and proposed. During a meeting with the association, we discussed these different proposals in order to select the one that best reflected the event's identity.

After a few tweaks and adjustments, the final design was ready to go into production.

One month of production and a lot of learning

The production phase then began and lasted for just over a month. This project represented a real challenge for us, particularly due to the large quantity to be produced.

For laser engraving, we usually produce 20 medals per printing session, which takes about 3 hours.
To produce more than 1100 medals, this represents approximately 55 engraving sessions, or nearly 165 hours of printing in total.

This experience allowed us to learn a great deal about large-scale laser engraving, a field very different from the small productions we usually carry out.

A fully finished product

In addition to the laser-engraved wooden medals, we also provided the neck straps in TKB colours.

Since sewing is not our main activity, it required us to learn and invest in new tools in order to be able to offer a fully finished product: a beautiful laser-engraved medal accompanied by its colorful neck strap.

A challenge met

This project was a real challenge for Antoine and myself, Corentin, but above all it allowed us to learn a lot and to take a new step in our business.

And what's next?

This experience makes us want to continue working with associations and businesses to offer them personalized, natural and local products, whether in small or large quantities.
